Service Management Portal and Service Management API

Microsoft’s Cloud OS vision is all about choice for the customer in where they deploy their datacenter assets. Consistent technologies allow for common experiences across private datacenter environments, hosted environments and Windows Azure. With the release of Windows Azure Services for Windows Server, Microsoft is allowing hosting service providers to deliver to their customers similar experiences for virtual machines and websites that they would find on the Windows Azure platform. This is all made possible through the Service Management Portal and Service Management API. This front end allows the service provider to allocate available cloud resources into plans which can be made available to end users on a subscription basis. By leveraging these technologies, hosting service providers can provide a high quality, self-service offering to their customers while reducing costs associated with developing these solutions and managing customer interactions. The following describes how to install the Service Management Portal and API.
