This code sample shows how you can build an Office-based solution which consists of both an application-level add-in and also a document-level customization. The source code solution consists of 3 projects: a VSTO Word 2007 add-in project; a VSTO Word 2007 doc-level customization project; and a simple class library project.

Communication between the add-in and the doc customization is done via both remoting and COM interop.

The accompanying document describes the solution architecture, and includes a Visio diagram of the solution.
