Just found this product and installed it today. Loaded great the first time. I'm having the same problem listed below regarding double contacts.

Just wondering if this product is still being worked on. I think it would be a great addition for my customers. Thanks!

CREATED ISSUE: Custom groups are showing double

I have custom groups within Communicator and when they populate in the add-in, the contacts are doubled. Doesn't hurt anything, just takes more space.

Also, would there be a way to send a message right from the add-in. One of the reasons that the add-in is enticing is because it gets rid of one more window on the task bar. Having each communicator window still there is a bit annoying so it would be cool to be able to communicate right from within the add-in.

I have exactly the same symptoms, except that they started when I first installed the plug-in last week. Have tried it on two different PCs with same result. Running 2.0.6362.0 as well. Any ideas?

This was a superb plug-in, I've been running it for a while without problems.
Suddenly I lost the friendly user names and they were replaced with the email address, and the indication of status for all except for the indication for myself in Outlook.
Everything is still works in the Communicator interface (version 2.0.6362.0).
Does anyone have an idea of what may be the cause of the problem

How can you push the Outlook add-in without user intrevention?

It seems like a great idea to unload as much of the add-in's memory footprint when the add-in gets Hidden by the toolbar button.

Not sure whether it's possible to actually Shutdown the add-in (and whether that would make the act of Show'ing the add-in seem very slow), or if the best that can be done is to Dispose() of as much of the memory footprint as possible (e.g. at minimum, the COM object reference).

I don't know whether that would be something implemented in an Event related to the Visible property or hooked directly to the btnShowHide_Click() handler.

CREATED ISSUE: Tooltip expands to width of the screen/desktop when a long OOF message has been published by the contact

I've noticed that, when some of my contacts have published an OOF message in Outlook/Exchange, and if that message includes long paragraphs, that when I hover over their Contact in the Add-in, the tooltip expands to the width of the screen/desktop.

I'd like these tooltips to wrap the displayed text in the same way that they wrap in the standalone Communicator client.

COMMENTED ISSUE: All contact groups open by default

All contact groups open by default rather than just the ones I choose to open. I have tested by only opening the ones that I want and then closing Outlook, but when I reopen, all 15 of my contact groups are open again. This is similiar to what Communicator Web Access does.
Comments: I wonder if the Communicator Automation API doesn't look for HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Communicator\[user@domain]\GroupStateCacheU\[group]\Collapsed, and if an Automation add-in like this needs to manually enumerate this?

Comments: As of 2008-12, it looks like this has been addressed (presumably in v1.1 Beta that was released in June). At least, it seems to run fine on my system, with XP SP3 and Outlook 2007 SP1.

I've installed the Add-In but all my contacts show under the Other Contacts node instead of the ones I've defined in my MOC client. I've dug into the code and see that IMessengerGroups myGroups = (IMessengerGroups)communicatorObj.MyGroups; is only returning 1 group that has the name of ~ so the code to handle that name is correct however, why doesn't the MyGroups object return my communicator groups like it should. How can I fix this? I am a developer so if you give me a hint of where to look I should be able to dig into it deeper. I downloaded the latest release.

Hi I have a sprint wireless internet broadband connection and seeing communicator section in outlook 2007 but nothing to configure it and am not able to see any contact online, neither myself having any account with communicator. Please help me to configure it. It always asks at beginning of outlook 2007 that please remember to start communicator before opening outlook. Please help.

Hello,
thats a really nice tool.
I just wanted to tell that if I try to right click on a contact to send an IM which is NOT selected I will not get the context menu.
You can probably fix that.

Is there a way to add a "ALWAYS ON TOP" feature? This way you can put it anyware you like and provided outlook is open the communicator view is always on top. I think this is mostly a problem on dual screen setups. As soon as you click on the other screen outlook stays visible, but communicator view doesnt.
