Resource Page Description A Silverlight 2 sample that uses the IE8 (Beta) AJAX navigation features to handle Broswer forward/back and history navigation. This is a code sample that takes advantage of the new AJAX navigation features in IE8. Revision History 2008-12-30 Released new version that supports Silverlight 2 RTM & cleaned up code using recommendations from StyleCop and Code Analysis. 2008-08-04 Released new version that uses a timer in Silverlight to enable forward/back & history navigation in FireFox, Safari, and IE8 (in both standards and IE7 emulation mode). Switch tabs and then use the browser (IE8) navigation buttons and history to go back to the previous tabs. See this sample application running. Comments RyanBeesley wrote Dec 2 2008 at 1:11 AM After updating the XAML to make this project compatible with Silverlight2 RTW, it doesn't seem as though this technique works for IE7 and earlier browsers. This is disappointing considering that IE7 and earlier represent nearly all of our targeted platforms. Would it be possible to use a hidden iframe to accomplish the same task?
