Could you explain me what is Sharepoint producer credential manager and how can i change it?

I have WSE installed and I can change web.config which that should I use for username/password?

I can see the webparts available but i can get the information.

Hi,
I am getting the same problem right now
Server was unable to process request. ---> Security Validation failed at Sharepoint Server

Could you tell me how can I change the sharepoint producer credential manager and its web.config.?

Please could you explain it? I am new with Sharepoint.

I have Liferay with CentOS in one side and Windows Server 2008, SQL Server 2008, IIS and WSRP producer in the other server.

Hi,

I'm using WSRP on Sharepoint 2007 (WSS 3.0), Sharepoint as Consumer , portlets hosted in another server.

Remote portlets work fine but I'm facing with a problem that is :
I minimized the portlet then keep it as minimized state then log out of Sharepoint, when login back the portlet still at minimized state, from the menu I selecte "Restore" but the portlet still is kept minimized.
Did anyone meet the same problem with me ? Please help to give me a word how to resolve this.

Note: If does not logout of the site, Minimized/Restore without problem.

Just wondering if anyone has been able to Consume the WSRP Portlets from Sharepoint with Webcenter Interaction. I am getting the following error:

Failed to get a service description from WSRP provider!
Error message from WSRP provider: (100)Continue

I am fairly green at this, so any help would be appreciated.

I installed the WSRP Toolkit and tried to consume the wsrp service using the WSRP Web Part.

I added the following configuration to the TrustedWSRPProducers.config

Now I try to consume this using the WSRP Web Part. I am able to select the Producer "Sharepoint" but on selection an error occurs. The following message is posted to the EventLog:

Runtime Error in method WSRPConfigurationToolPart.RefreshPortlets of type System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException.The exception was System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException: System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException: Server was unable to process request. ---> System.IO.FileNotFoundException: The Web application at http://msspptest01 could not be found. Verify that you have typed the URL correctly. If the URL should be serving existing content, the system administrator may need to add a new request URL mapping to the intended application.
at Microsoft.SharePoint.SPSite..ctor(SPFarm farm, Uri requestUri, Boolean contextSite, SPUserToken userToken)

Looks like the service can't access the SharePoint Site.

When I run the WSRP Service in the same application pool as SharePoint I get another error:

Runtime Error in method WSRPConfigurationToolPart.RefreshPortlets of type System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException.The exception was System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException: System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException: Server was unable to process request. ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

I cannot find any useful documentation. Can anybody give me a hint on what could be wrong here?

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong here, but I am able to install the application but can not display the asp page. I keep getting a "Error in page request: Oject reference not set to an instance object." I tried installing the ASP bridge in it's own site and even in the Sharepoint site as well with the same results. I gather there's something wrong with my entries in the WebPartInfo.xml file, but I'm not sure what it could be.

I did try and debug the ASP application and I believe that the "SharePointDataSource" is null... I haven't touched Visual Studio in years. Any pointers would be appreciated. Thank you.

Hi, I tested the Sharepoint Producer with IBM WebSphere Portal 6.1 as a consumer and ran into problems when trying to consume the portlets/web parts.

I figured out that the reason is that several mandatory elements are missing in the getServiceDescriptionResponse returned by the Sharepoint Producer:
- shortTitle, title, and displayName for a portlet only contain a value element, but according to the spec they are LocalizedStrings that also need to specify an xmlLang element
- the portlet descriptions do not define any markupType, but according to the spec there must be at least one element in the markupTypes array (using the "text/html" mime type with view mode and normal window state as default should do)

I believe this may cause problems with other consumer portals as well. Is there a chance to get this fixed in the code gallery version of the Sharepoint WSRP producer?

Sir, your toolkit only tream SPList types (Announcements, Calenders, Task, ShareDocuments ), which have SPView associated on SPList.

How about WebPart ? How did you treat WebPart other than SPList ?

Suppose Only 1 "Page Viewer Web Part", which is pointing to "www.microsoft.com", is added into a Page , how do you render out the WebPart's HTML out ?

In fact, When you add Web Part, a dialog is shown. on the Dialog, there is 10 or so SPList , most of others are all kind of WebParts which Your Tookit is NOT processing so far.

wating for your reply ? or your future release.

it is exact as you said it! I changed the sharepoint producer credential manager and passed the username/password and now its works!!

At this point you have to check the credentials used by sharepoint producer to call sharepoint site.
Sharepoint producer is a service that runs with a particular user credential, try to investigate who is.
In my scenario, where liferay portal is outside the domain network, i had have to change the sharepoint producer credential manager and its web.config. In web.config I set the domain/user/pass used by the producer to log in into sharepoint site.
It's a possibility.

Now it seems to work - there is SOAP POST-Request to Sharepoint, but Sharepoint producer returns:

Server was unable to process request. ---> Security Validation failed at Sharepoint Server

So, now I must go back to sharepoint and debug the communication!

I kwon this problema for liferay and its portlets generated by wsrp consumer in touch with sharepoint producer....
but I dont kwon if it is a producer or consumer issue!

You can fix it doing following steps:
- register the producer
- add some portlets from wsrp consumer registration
- go to the liferay database searching the WSRP_WSRPPORTLET table.
- look at the records created by adding portlets from wsrp.
- change the record and make it similar to this, expecially the bold part:

INSERT INTO WSRPWSRPPORTLET VALUES(12702,'sharedocallall','sharedocallall','Documenti condivisi','Documenti condivisi','Documenti condivisiTutti i documenti','WSRP',1,'12401','dummy','127bc6ae-32fc-4097-a564-de1ca8a3701c0Documenti condivisi','<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes"?>\u000a<MimeTypes xmlns="http://www.sun.com/portal/wsrp/consumer">\u000a <MimeType>\u000a <mime>text/html</mime>\u000a <modes>view</modes>\u000a <modes>help</modes>\u000a <modes>edit</modes>\u000a </MimeType>\u000a</MimeTypes>')

- in you original record there isn't all the data necessary to build the portlet render view types.
- then try to add portlet to the page!

I don't want to tell how much time i've spent to find it!!!!

Hi,

I was able to run the Producer and to register it on Liferay!
My actions:
1. open the sources with VS2008 and sign the DLLs.
2. deploy them to WSRP folder
3. install the DLLs to GAC

Now I am not getting any error on MOSS or on Liferay!

But the next problem I've got:
I can register the Moss-producer on liferay and I can create instance of all the portlets available. But if I try to add the portlet on the web page, there is no content.

As I said: there is no error on MOSS or Liferay. There is no communication between Consumer and Producer in the sniffer.

Where should I search the problem??
