When you compare assemblies, the differences will no longer show in green and red like it did in the first release.

This is a known issue caused by a bug in the coloring support, and will be fixed in the next release. Please use the first release 20080403 if you need this functionality in the meanwhile.
Comments: Please try build 20090210, in which the diff coloring should have been fixed.

Hello...
I installed FDS 1.1.3 Build 20090128 and when I try to execute it, I get a "Send error report" with this error siganture:

Comments: I was also getting this error because the DLL was marked as read-only. You just need to right-click on the DLL in the explorer and bring up the property page for the file and remove the 'read-only' attribute. A better error message would help track down the problem. Better yet, just load the DLL even if it is read-only.

When you compare assemblies, the differences will no longer show in green and red like it did in the first release.

This is a known issue caused by a bug in the coloring support, and will be fixed in the next release. Please use the first release 20080403 if you need this functionality in the meanwhile.
Comments: A workaround is to use the "Export" feature to generate a word-xml document. The coloring in the output file should still be working.

When switching to DIFF view and comparing to versioned assemblies (in my case NHibernate 1.2.1 GA and 2.0 GA) it is showing the changed classes, but does not colour the differences (i.e. red and green)
Comments: Actually, I used tried the latest release myself, and it does have the problem you described. This issue is caused by a bug in the coloring support, and will be fixed in the next release. In the mean while, please use the first release to see the correct diff colors. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Comments: Red and green are for added/removed keywords, types and members. Could you provide the actual assemblies you used, a screenshot of what you are seeing, and a description of what you are expecting?

Comments: Thank you for providing this information. What is the full name of the read-only attribute you are referring to? I was able to open the .dll file you attached, did it have the read-only attribute? You can attach another .dll that has the read-only attribute for us to investigate if that is indeed the problem.

The xml generated ends up being invalid as the < > in the generic type name don't get escaped.

Would also be nice if the output xml was pretty-printed rather than 1 big long line, but that's a minor thing.

Comments: Hi. I've solved the issue. The reason is ReadOnly attribute on assemblies. So you can't load assemblies with read-only attribute.

Comments: I've tried installing into the default folder. Nothing has changed. There's the same error. I've also tried using this prog on absolutry different PC with Windows Server 2003 x64 EE (with installing into the default folder). These's the same error. I think you should build in some logging capabilities into the prog to enable finding out what's wrong.

Comments: Looks like you do have all the required files. Could you try installing into the default directory instead of a custom one? Eg C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Framework Design Studio\ or similar as prepopulated during the installation.
