Resource Page DescriptionThis C# sample is a custom content class that implements Microsoft.SharePoint.Administration.Backup.IBackupRestore. Objects that instantiate this interface appear in the backup/restore UI of the SharePoint Central Administration application as items that can be selected for backup or restoration.
If you have not done so already, create a folder for holding all SharePoint SDK samples. Download and extract the contents of the ZIP file to your SDK samples folder.
Read the ReadMe file that is extracted before doing anything else.
The following screenshot shows an example of the backup page after this sample is fully deployed. Note the "Critical Front End Files" item. This is an object of the class in the sample. It is persisted to the configuration database with a console application. The source code for the latter application is also included in the Visual Studio solution.
