  • Error when runing Real Time chat application using SingalR, ASP.Net MVC and Angular JS
    4 Posts | Last post January 26, 2017
    • Hi, I downloaded "Real Time chat application using SingalR, ASP.Net MVC and Angular JS" Project from https://code.msdn.microsoft.com/Real-Time-chat-application-32c1fdc7#content
But, I cant run it.An errors occurs "The model backing the 'ApplicationDbContext' context has changed since the database was created. Consider using Code First Migrations to update the database (http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=238269)"
I enable Migrations, but error still occurs. Show me Step by Step to run this Project. Thanks.
    • Hey, sorry for delay I just got your message today only..
I don't think you need to do any thing to run this project. you only need to download the code, nuget will download all the dependent libraries, then you need to register an user..It will automatically create database.

Let me know if you still facing any issue.
for the error you mentioned.. it might be due to differences between migration files and your database (_migration entries).
If you are facing issue with code-first approach you can ask related queries here. I'll try to help you.

      Thanks
    • I just tried to build and run the code I shared, It worked fine for me without modifying any thing. Can you try after change 'database' name in your web config file.

Also once the project is up and running you need to register users and try them from different browser/ in-cognitive window(chrome) for testing.

    • Hi there, you have to ignore the script and generate a migration, because with the manual script the app don't put the migration info with the dll on iis, so...

      Ignore the SQL
      Enable-Migrations
      Add-Migration
      Update-Database

      and be happy (y)
