    • I am trying to use the coe with office 365 demo site .
      I am getting below error:
The requested site does not appear to have claims enabled or the Login Url has not been set.
Do I need to have any settings done for online and how?
    • I know this is an old question, but I came up with the same issue, so here's the answer I found.
The readme states you have to have this installed if working from a machine that does not have SP Foundation installed on it.
I had the same problem until I installed this, then it worked no problem.
    • Try like this SP_Ctx
      for inner sites

    • This code doesn't work against SharePoint 2013 from my experience, there is a minor tweak that needs to be made.
See this blog post for a fix:

  • WebBrowse Control issue for SharePoint Online Auth in Active Directory federation scenarios
    1 Posts | Last post December 01, 2011
    • There is an issue with the sample code linked above by Robert with SharePoint Online Authentication and Active Directory federation scenarios. In the sample code, where the WebBrowser Control is instantiated the property ScriptErrorsSuppressed is set to "true" and that value prevents the Windows Authentication pop-up to be opened causing a "Web cannot be displayed" error. The solution is remove that line or set that property to "false". You can check further details about the issue and how to fix in my blog post:
I hope that helps people with the same scenario.
  • How to combine Remote Authentication in SharePoint Online and Datacontext produced with SPMetal
    2 Posts | Last post November 15, 2011
    • Hi,
You sample is working fine but as the title says I wonder how I can use this with the context code produced with SPMetal. I know that theSPMetal Code is no use to change since I've followed the instructions i found for this and the file is regenereated at build.
I'm a newbee att Sharepoint development but my SPMetal context is working fine on my local mashine as do your sample so I only need to make the Authentication work for my online context as well.
      Best Regards

  • Unable to connect to remote server

    • I'm getting the same issue as Harsha. However, it works OK on one machine (which also has Sharepoint 2010 installed) but doesn't work on another which doesn't have SP 2010 installed. The exception caught in ClaimsWebAuth.GetClaimParams says that it is "Unable to connect to the remote server".
    • Try it again until u get it
