  • What is it supposed to do?
    2 Posts | Last post August 02, 2017
    • Hi there -- I can build and launch no problem (VS 2017)... but what is the app supposed to do? I just see static data in plain text when clicking on angular 2 link. It is in an html table (I think), but this is basically what I see (without the html table):

      Products
      Product Id
      Name
      Description
      1
      Product 1
      Description 1
      2
      Product 2
      Description 2
      3
      Product 3
      Description 3
      4
      Product 4
      Description 4
    • Ah, I see the editable table in Angular 1 link -- thanks! I probably have to do another build on angular 2 app or something. Will check later.

      Thanks much!
  • Also -- a little more direction pls?

    • I tried to use VS 2017 Professional. All three projects are empty. Contains the only package references.
From windows explorer, I can see the actual files. So I opened in VS Code. But how can I compile and run the project from VS Code?
  • When I open solution 3 projects are completely empty

    • Literally no files in projects. Files looks good on disk
    • Which version of VS do you use? You can browse code by using browser to be sure that everything is ok with project.
    • Hi Yatajga,
I use VS2017 professional and cannot compile the application. I received the error message TS1005 Build: ',', expected in libes6.d.ts.
    • Hi thao,

Could you use the latest version which I've just updated. Did you installed NPM on your machine?
  • How do you get this to build in 2017 26228.9

    • You planned use Angular 2 in this code?
    • Yes, will use both: Angular 1 & 2.
    • App was updated to use Angular 2.
  • Run it on .net Core 1.0.1 failed.

    • Hi,
I tried to run the project, but the only thing what I getting is a "HTTP Error 403.14 - Forbidden" page. I know the .Net Core have been changed a bit from RTM to final release. Can you update the project to the latest .net Core 1.0.0 or 1.0.1, please? (or guide me to update it)
    • Hi,

      Will do it.
    • The project is updated.
  • Use on Azure

    • I used the VS 2015 RTM example to add chat to an application I'm working on. It works well when deployed on IIS on my Windows 10 dev machine, but fails badly when deployed to azure for testing. All of my links and actions get /signalr/ added at the front so nothing works. Any ideas?
    • Which version of SignalR do you use?
    • From project.json:

       "dependencies": {
          "Microsoft.AspNet.Http.Abstractions": "1.0.0-rc1-final",
          "Microsoft.AspNet.Owin": "1.0.0-rc1-final",
          "Microsoft.AspNet.SignalR.Core": "2.2.0",
          "Microsoft.AspNet.SignalR.Owin": "1.2.2", ...

      Also using: jquery.signalR-2.1.2.js

I copied these from the RTM example.
    • I am having a similar issue. Thank you for the sample and it works great my local PC. I was able to follow the code and it has improved my knowledge. However, when I publish the app to my web app in azure, I receive the error :
      500 (Internal Server Error)
      Error during negotiation request.
and the SignalR connection stops. I have tried another chat sample for MVC5, which I published to azure, and that one works on azure. My prject.json looks like this :
       "dependencies": {
          "Microsoft.AspNet.Http.Abstractions": "1.0.0-rc1-final",
          "Microsoft.AspNet.Mvc": "6.0.0-rc1-final",
          "Microsoft.AspNet.Mvc.TagHelpers": "6.0.0-rc1-final",
          "Microsoft.AspNet.Owin": "1.0.0-rc1-final",
          "Microsoft.AspNet.Server.Kestrel": "1.0.0-rc1-final",
          "Microsoft.AspNet.SignalR.Core": "2.2.0",
          "Microsoft.AspNet.SignalR.Owin": "1.2.2",
          "Microsoft.AspNet.StaticFiles": "1.0.0-rc1-final",
          "Microsoft.AspNet.Tooling.Razor": "1.0.0-rc1-final",
          "Microsoft.Extensions.Configuration.Json": "1.0.0-rc1-final"
        },

I would appreciate if you could advise on how to get this sample working in azure.
    • In the latest version the application uses SignalR 2 which isn't fully compatible with ASP.NET 5 (ASP.NET Core), no guaranties for non development environments. The current version wasn't updated to use New ASP.NET Core (Renamed ASP.NET 5), I will check it and update the application.
    • That would be great. Look forward to it.
    • Application was updated, you can try it.
  • WebSockets

    • I am not seeing this application using the websockets protocol, which SignalR is supposed to use if browser supports it. Is this some configuration you did intentionally which prevents application from using websockets protocol?
    • In the latest version the application uses SignalR 2 which isn't fully compatible with ASP.NET 5. Everything works fine without web sockets.
