    1 Posts | Last post April 01, 2014
    • do you need to be running it on a Windows Server Machine?
      also the dependency checker was looking for VS 2010 before it abended - will it work with VS 2013?

      (the abend occurs after verifying Windows PowerShell and "before" Vs 2010 - the error is "AuthoizationManager check failed" - I'm running the tools as an administrator)
  • Build Errors...

    • In VS 2013, I get numerous ambiguous reference errors, e.g. Can anyone help resolve this?

      Error	8	'ApplicantResume' is an ambiguous reference between 'HRApplicationServices.Application.ApplicantResume' and 'HRApplicationServices.Contracts.ApplicantResume'

      Error	7	'HumanScreeningResult' is an ambiguous reference between 'HRApplicationServices.Application.HumanScreeningResult' and 'HRApplicationServices.Contracts.HumanScreeningResult'

    • Hi,

      I am using Microsoft.Activities.Extensions" version="2.0.0.13" and noticed that the web.config file did not recognise the following:

      <add name="workflowServiceTrace" type="Microsoft.Activities.Diagnostics.WorkflowServiceTraceElement, Microsoft.Activities" />

      However this was fixed by adding the word Extensions after Microsoft.Activities.

      <add name="workflowServiceTrace" type="Microsoft.Activities.Extensions.Diagnostics.WorkflowServiceTraceElement, Microsoft.Activities.Extensions" />

      Hope this helps!

  • system.servicemodel.serviceactivationexception error
    1 Posts | Last post November 13, 2011
    • Hi Sir,
      It' me another time i resolved the problem so i can browse to Default.aspx from IIS the solution:
      right click project, and click properties . Then open Web section of the project’s properties page
      under servers i choose Use Local IIS Web server and this is the url http://localhost/HRAppliServices.

      everything is fine right there but when i try to apply for a job ( i click on apply button on Default.aspx) i get this error system.servicemodel.serviceactivationexception the requested service http://localhost/HRAppliServices/SubmitApplication.xaml could not be activated .

      I searched it , they said you've to add this lines in you're web.config :

      <system.serviceModel>
          <serviceHostingEnvironment aspNetCompatibilityEnabled="true"/>
       </system.serviceModel>

      but it didn't work for me

      Any help will be appreciated
      Thank you in advance
  • 404 page not found error
    3 Posts | Last post November 10, 2011
    • Hi,
      I'm getting this error

      File name  : http\\?\C:\inetpub\wwwroot\HRApplicationServices\web.config
      Line number:86
      Uknown element 'workflowServerTrace'

      at this step :
      In IIS Manager, expand the Default Web Site and right-click HRApplicationServices application, then click Manage WCF and WF Services and click Configure.

      So i changed the web.config wich causing the problem (C:\inetpub\wwwroot\HRApplicationServices\web.config)by deleting "<workflowServerTrace/>" so finally the error disappears but now when i open http://localhost/HRApplicationServices i get 404 page not found error.

      When i run the application directly from visual studio everything works fine

      Any idea please

    • Did you publish the app to IIS like I showed in the video? If you can't browse to Default.aspx something is wrong with the IIS deployment.
    • Thank you for response i'll repeat the steps

      Thanks

  • Application automatically cancelled

    • Is anyone else experiencing this issue:
      After submitting an application and select Masters degree, the passed education screening workflow is executed, but after a minute the application is automatically cancelled?
    • In the V2 version of the app, I added a "Nag" loop that will send the first email, wait 30 seconds, send a second email and then after 30 more seconds cancel the application. You can see this in the SubmitApplication.xamlx workflow.
