Is it possible for the Update Manager settings to scan the WSUS server instead of the Microsoft Catalog server and display the results in Update Manager? Specifically, I want the missing update status or compliance status based on the WSUS repository, which are approved, not based on the Microsoft Update Catalog server. Ultimately, I want the missing details in the Update Manager dashboard based on scanning against the WSUS server hosted in my environment.

@Rath, Sibananda , thank you for posting this question on Microsoft Q&A,

Yes, it is possible for Update Manager settings to scan the WSUS server instead of the Microsoft catalog server. Azure Update Manager relies on the Windows Update client to download and install Windows updates. There are specific settings that are used by the Windows Update client when connecting to Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) or Windows Update.

For WSUS related configuration settings, you can specify sources for scanning and downloading updates using instructions in Specify intranet Microsoft Update service location. By default, the Windows Update client is configured to download updates from Windows Update. When you specify a WSUS server as a source for your machines, the update deployment fails, if the updates aren't approved in WSUS.

    Hope this helps.
