  • Windows 10 VS 2015 show that is a really a 2d printer code

    • I tried to work with this but some things are missing, selection of the Makerbot print driver even when installed. Basically for win 10 / vs 2015 its a image printer. I suggest you look at the Windows store http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0CCEQFjAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fapps.microsoft.com%2Fwindows%2Fen-gb%2Fapp%2F3d-builder%2F75f3f766-13b3-45e9-a62f-29590d5781f2&ei=9pqJVbPfL63V7Aae-aLYAg&usg=AFQjCNHQweEZKA7f87g3OZMHhlVfJ_242A&bvm=bv.96339352,d.ZGU
This code would need to call a slicer program to print. But it does show how to print a 3d image on a 2D inkjet printer
  • How to do the same in C# ?

    • How to do the same in C# ?
    • Currently you would write an interop API using WinRT, or you could use p/invoke perhaps.
    • C # into the dustbin of history. Want brake Brake alone. LLVM JIT Compiller our everything.
  • Using a USB serial port sample code as a boiler plate

    • So would using "USB serial port" sample code as a boiler plate be a good start for developing a Driver for my 3D USB serial port based Printer?
    • You should start with the driver sample code in the SDK: http://microsoft.com/3d
  • Monitor/Control 3D printing process with Windows 8.1 APIs

    • Do we have APIs / software interface possible so as we could monitor/control the printing process going on a connected 3D printer?
    • These 3d printers work through the print spooler and normal print queues, so I would recommend starting your investigation there.
  • 3MF Format Specification
    2 Posts | Last post June 12, 2014
    • Where can we find the 3MF Format specification please?
I googled it and nothing, search the MSDN forum and found nothing.
The 3D Printing Sample page on the Microsoft site says to have a look at the 3D Printing page but nothing there either.
Found a link somewhere pointing to some files but it was a dead link...
Certainly not the easiest piece of documentation to find :)
    • Install the SDK from http://microsoft.com/3d. You'll find it there.
