This sample demonstrates video playback using the MediaEngine API in a native C++ app.
Specifically, this sample shows how to enable the user to:
- Browse and load a media file from the local folders of the user's system.
- Play back the media content in full screen.
Please note that IMFMediaEngine API are not typically called directly to playback audio and video in a Windows Store app. Instead, the Windows Runtime Windows.Media API are typically used. For more information on playing media using the Windows.Media API, see HTML media playback sample, XAML media playback sample and the Adding multimedia documentation.
For more information about building Windows Store apps in C++ ,see the Roadmap for apps using C++.
