Assume We have a base class and derived class, We overrided a method in derived class and we have a requirement of calling this virtual method of base class from overrided method of derived class or any other position of the derived class, then we can use C# feature called as "Calling Base Versions of Functions" using the sytax base.()

Note that you can use the base.() syntax to call any method in the base class — you don't have to call it from inside an override of the same method.
